The Lions Eye Bank is a part of the Eye Care Centre of Excellence on the 3rd floor of the Misericordia Health Centre.

The objectives of the Medical Lab are to procure and evaluate eye tissue from donors in order to be used for corneal transplants, research and education. The Medical Lab produces a vital link between donor families and transplant recipient.

The Medical Lab adherers to strict policies and procedures in accordance with the Eye Bank Association of America (EBAA) & Health Canada.
